Life Insurance
- Basic Life Insurance provides life insurance in the event of death or dismemberment
- Group Universal Life provides an option to purchase additional life insurance coverage for employees and dependents

- Personal/Family Accident Insurance provides an option to purchase accidental death insurance for employees and dependents
Retirement Security
- Retiree Healthcare/Dental Care Insurance available for employees who retiree with at least 10 years of service
- Bechtel NR Program Savings Plan [401(k)] provides the opportunity to save up to 25% of compensation with 18 different investment options, with a company contribution of 50¢ for every $1 of employee contributions up to 6% of compensation
- BBI Pension Plan provides the opportunity to earn retirement income based on salary and years of service for a contribution of 1.5% of compensation
- Bechtel NR Program Long Term Care Insurance available for employees who want to insure against the cost of an extended stay in a nursing home or related facility for themselves or their family

Employee Development
- Educational Assistance provides tuition reimbursement for approved courses and degree programs at accredited educational institutions
- Training provides the opportunity to participate in on- and off-site training programs to develop skills and knowledge in areas that benefit the Laboratory
- Mentoring job orientation and career development are important transition issues which are supported by trained mentors. New employees are assigned a mentor to assist them with the logistics of Laboratory operations and practices. For career development and training, a pool of mentors is available as a 'sounding board' and for directing employees to the resources and choices which advance personal and business needs.
Work/Life Balance
- Flexible Work Schedules depending upon the job, employees may have the option of working a 9/80 alternate work schedule which involves working 80 hours over a 9-day work period. Under this option, employees work four 9-hour days each week with the fifth day alternating between an 8-hour day and a day off.
- Vacation 80 hours of paid vacation are provided after 3 months of employment, with the number of vacation days increasing with service
- Holidays 80 hours of paid holidays are provided each year
- Employee and Family Activities employees enjoy participating together in activities such as organized softball, volleyball, skiing, golf, bowling, and special interest clubs (Toastmasters, PC Users). Family activities include company picnics and a 5K fun run/walk
